    Spot the lie:

    1) Robin Roberts has more saves with the Phillies than Kevin Millwood has wins with the Phillies.

    2) Mike Lieberthal has more career Phillies home runs than Darren Daulton.

    3) Craig Kimbrel pitched 69 innings as a Phillie. Robin Roberts pitched 3,739. They have the same number of balks (2).

    4) Kyle Kendrick has more career Phillies wins than Brett Myers, Randy Wolf, Terry Mulholland, Jamie Moyer, Cliff Lee, or Roy Halladay.

    5) Pat Burrell has more career Phillies home runs than Bryce Harper and Jim Thome combined.

    6) Steve Carlton threw more strikeouts as a Phillie than Curt Schilling, Cliff Lee, and Vince Velasquez combined.

    7) Aaron Nola could throw 20 complete games/season from 2024 through 2036 and still wouldn’t have as many complete games as Robin Roberts.

    8) Pete Rose played in 163 regular season games for the Phillies in 1979.

    9) Zack Wheeler has a lower career WHIP than Grover Cleveland Alexander, Cliff Lee, Jim Bunning, Roy Halladay, Curt Schilling, Aaron Nola, Cole Hamels, Robin Roberts, and Steve Carlton but he’s still not the Phillies’ all-time WHIP leader (min. 500 innings pitched).

    10) Nobody has a better career K/9 rate in Phillies history than Aaron Altherr (min. 1 inning pitched)

    11) Vincente Padilla and Cliff Lee served up the exact same number of home runs as a Phillie (80).

    12) Craig Kimbrel has more saves as a Phillie than Ken Giles.

    13) Vince Velasquez has more strikeouts as a Phillie than Roy Halladay.

    14) Matt Strahm has a higher career K/9 rate with the Phillies than Brad Lidge.

    15) Larry Bowa has more career triples as a Phillie than Chase Utley, Mike Schmidt, or Bobby Abreu.

    16) Tommy Hunter has a lower career Phillies WHIP than Robin Roberts and Steve Carlton.

    17) Four players had 200+ hits for the 1929 Phillies. Lefty O’Doul had 254. The team went 71-82-1.

    18) Vince Velasquez has allowed the most home runs per nine innings in Phillies history (min. 500 innings pitched).

    19) Steve Carlton hit more sacrifice flies in his Phillies career than Shane Victorino or Jim Thome.

    20) Carlos Ruiz has more career doubles as a Phillie than Scott Rolen, Shane Victorino, or Lenny Dykstra.

    21) Pat Burrell grounded into more double plays as a Phillie than Mickey Morandini, Johnny Callison, and Pete Rose combined.

    22) Steve Carlton threw more wild pitches in 1980 (17) than Aaron Nola has in his entire Phillies career (15).

    23) Based on offensive WAR (as calculated by baseballreference.com), Dick Allen had the greatest offensive Phillies season of all time in 1964. It was Allen’s rookie season.

    24) Based on defensive WAR (as calculated by baseballreference.com), Chase Utley had the greatest defensive Phillies season of all time in 2008.

    25) The oldest teams in Phillies franchise history by batters’ average age (weighted by ABs and games played) are: the 1983 Phillies (31.9 years), the 2010 Phillies (31.8 years), the 2011 Phillies (31.4 years), and the 2009 Phillies (31.3 years). All of those teams finished the regular season in first place.

    26) Jimmy Rollins was caught stealing 95 times in his Phillies career, Larry Bowa was caught stealing 94 times, and Mike Schmidt was caught stealing 92 times. But Rollins successfully stole 453 bases to Bowa’s 288 and Schmidt’s 174.
