There’s a version of reality where Embid leads the sixers to 2 titles over the next 4 years and claims the top dog role in ‘28. There’s also a version where he bows out of another second round because he can’t stay on the floor and the team doesn’t know how to play without him.

Great article and perspective. It was a good showing, not perfect but nothing ever is. It was a lot better than Tatum – the $304 million player who could barely get on the floor. Celtics fans should be worried they have invested so much in him. The other two Celtics on team USA – Holiday and White outshined him.
