Heck yes. The last few years have been rough. Once we got past the hawks series and moving Ben it just felt like the expectation of getting to an ECF took the joy out of the game to game viewing. It didn’t help that our best chance of success always did end up hurt, fair or unfair.

The fact that we have 3 young guards (4 if we count grimes) that show a path to success where Embiid and maybe PG can be a piece and not have to be THE piece gives me hope. It probably does for them too, especially Joel.

This made me feel good. You can tell the team now rides Maxey’s energy as opposed to Joel’s. Joel can still be the best player on the team, but Maxey is the leader.

Now they just need to follow the tried-and-true template: trade Paul George, win a championship.

Grow a hopeful life and go out into the sun, this is good. Sure the defense has to improve, but the winner still puts the ball through the hoop more than the loser, and there’s a LOT of ballers here, and GUTS.
