You know, there is something very interesting here. Both McCain and Maxey are Morey draft picks in the 20’s of the first round. Hitting in the 20’s is hard to do. Real hard. Maybe, just maybe, the best thing the Sixers can do at this point is trade Embiid and George for a boat load of draft picks and expiring contracts (to make the deals work financially), give Morey a ton of draft picks and let him pick’em, like he did with Maxey and McCain, and start all over again, in rebuild 2.0. If he can grab two or three jewels like he did with these two, they could have the makings of a fresh, young exciting potential champion nucleus.
