Now that the NHL Draft order has been determined, it’s time to start looking at potential prospects who could end up being available when the Philadelphia Flyers make their pick at six.
Today we’ll look at James Hagens, who was the presumed number 1 overall pick a year ago, but fell off after his good-not-great freshman season at Boston College.
Charlie & Bill will also discuss Philly’s search for a head coach, as well as talk a little Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Always a great show. Thanks. I got a kick out of your Ducks v. Flyers comparison. I know Charlie’s attended Ducks games…but as part of the press. Ducks fans are THE LEAST knowledgeable group of fans you could possibly encounter. I wouldn’t even call the people who attend Ducks games necessarily fans, I think they’re mostly slightly bored locals who are looking for something to do. This probably gives the Ducks front office complete latitude to do whatever they want in terms of tanking, coach choice, etc.
We have been attending Flyers v. Ducks and Flyers v. Kings games for 25 years. Kings fans understand hockey. Ducks fans, have helped us collect funny stories. This year I was two seats from Rocky Thompson’s cousin (who was more into the Rangers but promised to pass on the suggestion that Zamula get off the power play) and in front of someone who professed to be a HUGE Ducks fan but didn’t know why the team’s goalie stopped playing early.
