Phantoms drop Game 5 4-2 to Bears, are eliminated from playoffs

And just like that, the 2024-25 season has come to a close for the Phantoms. After a chance to close out the series tidily in four games was squandered back at home on Friday, the series shifted back to Hershey for Game 5 last night, and it was not a kind matchup for the Phantoms. Struggling for close to the first 40 minutes to get going, forced to play from behind once again, they managed to put together something of a late-game push to keep their season alive. But the hole they dug themselves ended up too deep, and for the second year in a row, the Phantoms found themselves eliminated in the second round at the hands of the Bears.
