Flyers beef up in Round 1, add serious size to their prospect pool in Porter Martone & Jack Nesbitt — but center question remains

ATLANTIC CITY -- When the just-selected Jack Nesbitt walked over to the television screens connecting him with the Philadelphia Flyers' braintrust -- those who had picked him seconds earlier with the 12th overall pick -- Flyers president of hockey operations Keith Jones in particular was beaming ear-to-ear as he gazed upon the 6'5 center.
"Well, he looks like a Flyer to me," Jones cracked.
And after Friday night, the Philadelphia prospect pool does indeed look significant more "Flyer-like," in the sense of being big and physical -- yet also skilled.
The additions of Nesbitt and, of course, sixth overall selection Porter Martone, did just that.
