One other thing, Fran: the 6 KC defenders moved beautifully. That leaves five defenders against 6, 7 Eagles. Shouldn’t we be able to run better? Shouldn’t play action open up passing lanes?

So I’ve seen others ask this question, and I think I have the reason.
Teams know how the Eagles want to play, so they are just kinda letting them.
Eagles are helping the other team and making life harder on their players by being so predictable.

And play action isn’t effective when you are extremely predictable. The D won’t buy it, and it doesn’t help we don’t put much effort into it.

I really enjoy your analysis and insights. I don’t think I’ve heard this question asked/answered anywhere: How much do offenses evolve throughout the year? What’s normal in NFL? What’s normal for Eagles? How has less preseason/longer season changed that? If you’d rather fit the answer in during a pod or something that’s cool. I’m happy to catch it wherever. Again, thank you.

Seems odd that Howie hasn’t found a replacement for Goedert yet. We know what we have in Calcaterra, which isn’t close to level of Goedert.
