The Flyers were in one of their toughest spots of the season on Thursday night, playing in the backend of a back-to-back after traveling from Philadelphia to Minnesota to faceoff with one of the NHL’s top teams in the Wild.
Philly scored the first goal for only the 21st time this season, and despite falling behind 2-1, Owen Tippett knotted it up with a short-handed slapper, forcing overtime, making it 22 OT games this season for the Orange & Black.
Then, after Michkov and Zegras came up empty in the shootout, Travis Konecny scored the skills competition’s lone goal for the win.
Charlie & Bill break down the victory and what this means for the Flyers’ playoff hopes.
