On January 6th, the Anaheim Ducks came into Philly with the mindset of taking liberties and “avenging” the way they were pushed around in Cutter Gauthier’s first trip to Philadelphia the year prior. Bobby Brink got chicken-winged early, leading to a rare Noah Cates fight. Jamie Drysdale got blind-sided by Ross Johnston. Jacob Trouba delivered a flying elbow to Denver Barkey. Radko Gudas (currently suspended for kneeing Auston Matthews) and Garnet Hathaway dropped the gloves.
With the Ducks now leading the pathetic Pacific Division, it’s now up to the Flyers to test just how “tough” the team that stole the color orange from them really is.
Charlie & Bill discuss the potential for fireworks on Wednesday night, as well as Keith Jones’ assessment of the rebuild, his first year head coach and more on a recent appearance on the 97.5 Morning Show.
