PHLY Sixers Podcast: POSTGAME: VJ Edgecombe, 76ers RESPOND With HUGE Game 2 Win Over Celtics

Behind superstar performances from VJ Edgecombe and Tyrese Maxey, the Philadelphia 76ers shocked the TD Garden crowd, taking Game 2 by a 111-97 score to even the best-of-seven series at one game a piece. Game 3 will be Friday night in Philadelphia.

VJ Edgecombe led the Sixers with 29 points and 10 rebounds, doing the bulk of his damage in an electric 16-point second quarter. After struggling early, Maxey came alive down the stretch, with 12 fourth quarter points to close the game. Paul George (19), Kelly Oubre Jr (12) and Andre Drummond (10) also scored in double figures for the Sixers.

Jaylen Brown’s 36 points, including 5-12 from 3, led both teams. Jayson Tatum added 19 for the Celtics.
