Joseph Woll kept a surging Devils team off the board through nearly 38 minutes, and the Flyers actually scored a goal in the first period, courtesy of Rasmus Ristolainen, but most of this game was played in Philadelphia’s zone as they were, once again, completely incapable of making a play or even winning a battle through two periods.
But with a chance to win a period and win the game, Woll made huge saves, one moments before Travis Sanheim put the Orange & Black up 2-1. Luke Hughes tied it up, and we got our first OT of 2026-27, where an offensive zone turnover became a rush for Jack Hughes and Jesper Bratt, who won the game for Jersey.
Bill, Charlie & Petey break down the OT loss, the lack of offensive chemistry and a great night that ended on a sour note for Philly’s new goaltender Joseph Woll.
