What is there do to but laugh?
“Somebody put a curse on us,” Jordan Mailata joked from the Eagles‘ gallows. Four days prior, in London, Mailata said the team’s bewildering loss to the Jaguars had capped his “week from hell,” given the Lane Johnson retirement and Cam Jurgens trade that predated the team’s eight-second collapse.
“I think I was a little early,” Mailata said Thursday. “I might’ve jumped the gun on that one. Holy cow. It’s the NFL, man, it’s the gift that keeps on giving.”
There was a lot of head shaking in the locker room at the team facility following the stunning announcement that Jalen Hurts will miss Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers with a blood clot that was initially discovered last Saturday in London.
