PHILADELPHIA — The Philadelphia Flyers certainly made it a game. But in the end, they’re sitting at 13 losses in 17 games.
After falling behind 3-0 before even 21 minutes had passed, the Flyers pushed back to cut the deficit to one goal, but would get no closer, as the Minnesota Wild locked down a 4-2 victory. Jesper Wallstedt made 23 big saves to secure the win, while Dan Vladar stopped 18 in defeat.
Tyson Foerster and Denver Barkey scored for the Flyers, who proved unable to build off their promising victory over Utah two nights earlier. Next up is a five-game road, as the Flyers desperately try to save their sinking season.
