The Philadelphia Union will have seven of their players heading for November international duty around the globe over the next week.
Daniel Gazdag and Andre Blake headlined seven Union players who received international call-ups for the upcoming international window. In addition, Damion Lowe, Jose Martinez, Jack McGlynn, Nathan Harriel, and Tai Baribo have joined their respective countries’ teams for their FIFA international matches.
All players will be expected back in training ahead of the Union’s Eastern Conference Semifinal showdown with FC Cincinnati on Nov. 25.
Gazdag returns to the Hungarian national team for the latest round of EURO 2024 qualification matches. Hungary will face Bulgaria on Nov. 16 and Montenegro on Nov 19.
Blake and Lowe join the Jamaican national team for the CONCACAF Nations League quarterfinals. The Reggae Boyz will play Canada on Nov. 17 and Nov. 21 respectively, with the winner advancing to the Nations League semifinals in 2024 and securing a Copa America berth.
Martinez joins the Venezuelan national team for a pair of World Cup qualification matches against Ecuador on Nov. 16 and Peru on Nov. 21. Martinez most recently was called up in October 2023, registering one assist in a 3-0 win over Chile.
Baribo is with the Israeli national team for the latest round of EURO 2024 qualification matches. Israel faces Switzerland on Nov. 15, Romania on Nov. 18, and Andorra on Nov. 21.
Israel lost 1-0 on Sunday to Kosovo, with Baribo not featuring in the match.
McGlynn and Harriel have joined up with the United States Under-23 men’s national team. Both players made their debut with the U-23’s in October, featuring against both Japan and Mexico.
Iraq and Morocco will oppose the Americans on Nov. 18 and Nov. 21 respectively in the latest preparatory matches for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.
