Tyrese Maxey dropped 30 points on the Charlotte Hornets (17-51), as the Sixers took control of the game down the stretch to pull away for a 109-98 win, the second time the Sixers have beaten the Hornets in the last two weeks in a much-needed win as the Sixers try to fight for playoff positioning. Kelly Oubre Jr added in a crucial 22-point performance for the Sixers, who also received strong play from Paul Reed (11 points), Cam Payne (10) and Buddy Hield (14) off the bench.
