Excellent perspective. Thank you, Les. I think you’re 100% right as to how this should be viewed (but I enjoyed the most your sarcastic response to Chris Russo’s note).

Thanks, Matthew

Nice work, Les! Having read this, on top of the ESPN information, I’d say that you’ve hit the nail on the head. As a longtime fan, it’s gratifying to see that the QB is smart enough to try and fix his “blitz” issues. He’ll be fine, as long as he’s healthy. The Defense, on the other hand, might still have problems, and even Fangio has joined in on the need for decent LB play.

Love having you here, Les.

The other annoying reaction to these types of articles comes from the players and coaches, usually some form of, “We’ve already discussed last year, moving on!” Um, no, no one has discussed what exactly happened. That’s why everyone keeps asking about it.
I do agree that it was strange no one above Sirianni stepped in when it was obvious the wheels had come off. We all watched them continually spamming WR screen passes and wondered why they couldn’t call a different play.
Anyway, thanks for parsing through the BS. Sounds like there was some hubris in the building last season. Hopefully the humble pie that was served works some magic.
