After a linebacker competition throughout training camp, the Eagles will keep the starters from the season opener: Nakobe Dean and Zack Baun. Dean will remain the starter even when Devin White returns from an ankle injury that held him out Week 1.
“Nakobe’s the starter,” defensive coordinator Vic Fangio said Wednesday.
But this is not a player earning a job because of an injury. Rather, Dean would have started ahead of White even if White were healthy.
“I think from the start of camp until the end, he won the job,” Fangio said.
