It was strangely appropriate that Sean Couturier delivered what very well could be remembered as his comeback game on the same day that the Philadelphia Flyers returned Jett Luchanko to his junior hockey club.
After all, a big reason why Luchanko stuck around past training camp, despite his young age and lack of overwhelming offensive production in preseason, was because of the Flyers' dire situation down the middle. It's been dire ever since Couturier's game took a big dip around the middle of January last season, robbing the team of its top-line center and forcing constant lineup gymnastics on the part of head coach John Tortorella through the remainder of the campaign.
