PHILADELPHIA -- Over a five-minute span early in the third period, a tight game between the Philadelphia Flyers and Carolina Hurricanes turned into a blowout.
Sebastian Aho's goal put the Canes in front, and back-to-back tallies from Jordan Staal and Jack Roslovic removed any real hope of a Flyers comeback. They fell to the Hurricanes by a 4-1 final score, losing their second straight after their 3-2 defeat at the hands of the Colorado Avalanche on Monday.
Ryan Poehling scored the Flyers' only goal, while Ivan Fedotov stopped 33 of 37 shots as the losing goalie.
