PHILADELPHIA -- Quick hit observations on the Philadelphia Flyers' 4-1 win over the Detroit Red Wings at the Wells Fargo Center on Thursday night:
1. This was, more than anything else, the Scott Laughton game.
It's not like Laughton had been having a poor season for the Flyers prior to tonight -- he was just below break-even in terms of even strength impact metrics, and a 29-point pace is pretty normal for a player getting under 15 minutes a night. But it is fair to say that he wasn't especially standing out.
Well, he certainly stood out against the Red Wings on Thursday.
