Tippett has the ability – he just needs the consistency. While the ability is certainly fun to watch, the jury is still out as to whether this is just one of his streaks, or whether it is the start of consistent play from him.

That said, the goal he scored last game (or the game before) – flying down the left flank, cutting in and deking the goalie – was a think of beauty that no one else on the team could have pulled off

I actually thought Ersson played rather well for having given up 4 goals. The Flyer defense routinely broke down around him and he made several key saves to keep them in it. He was a little overly aggressive on the Olivier goal and while he was screened on the 4th goal I’m sure he’d have liked to do a better job fighting through the traffic, but overall I think he was better than the numbers would indicate.
