DENVER -- The Philadelphia Flyers have been shut out in three consecutive games once before in their history. But that came in the playoffs, at the hands of the Ottawa Senators in 2002. Never had they been kept off the scoresheet in three straight regular season games.
Until now, that is.
Following up 5-0 and 3-0 losses to the Devils and Islanders respectively last week, the Flyers once again failed to dent the scoresheet on Sunday, losing 2-0 to the Colorado Avalanche in Denver in their first game since the trade that sent Joel Farabee and Morgan Frost to Calgary.
