CLEARWATER, Fla. – Nick Castellanos heard all the negative fallout after the Phillies were quickly bounced from the postseason in October. He’s heard the wintertime narrative that the team didn’t make a whole lot of changes this offseason and the championship window might be moving in the wrong direction.
In Castellanos’ mind, maybe all the talk isn’t such a bad thing.
“I don’t know if we’re going to go deep in October,” he said at Phillies camp Sunday. “I don’t know any of that. All I know is we need to stay healthy, prepare in spring training and get ready for the season. That’s so far down the road.
