CLEARWATER, Fla. – The Phillies did not make any major personnel changes to their offense this winter as they strive to “finish the job,” as Bryce Harper likes to say, and win a World Series. Veteran Max Kepler has come aboard to play left field and bat in the bottom third of the order. Other than that, it’s basically the same crew, and that’s not such a bad thing when you consider the team finished fifth in the majors in runs scored last season.
The big change to the offense in 2025 will likely come from within. For weeks, manager Rob Thomson has given off strong signals that he intends to shake up the top of the batting order.
