Why the Flyers now look poised to finish season strong — even if some fans wish they wouldn’t

Just 23 games remain in the Philadelphia Flyers' season, and the team is still alive in the playoff race.
Sort of. Technically. Maybe.
At first glance, the Flyers would seem to be very much still in the mix. They trail the Columbus Blue Jackets by just five points for the final Eastern Conference wild card spot; that's just a three-win difference, right? And neither Columbus nor Detroit (the holders of WC1 in the East) are anything close to world beaters. The Flyers could still catch them, no?
