With the regular-season opener coming up in three weeks, linebacker is the Eagles’ most unsettled position.
This is not a shock to anyone who has followed the organization’s long-running linebacking drama. I was on a podcast last week where the host and I agreed that while the Eagles’ revamped ‘backer corps might contain several guys who aren’t bad, who might be players you like having on your roster, the group might not contain anyone who qualifies as a legit NFL starter for a top-tier team.
So it so frequently goes with this team, year after year. Picture Zack Baun, Alex Singleton and Nathan Gerry in that meme where the Spidermen point at one another.
