Baun’s extraordinary development as an off-ball linebacker fueled the Eagles’ march to the Super Bowl LIX title. Now the team wants to use his example to motivate other veterans signed to one-year, prove-it deals, as Baun was last season.
Of course, the clincher in making this case is that Baun DID prove it, re-signing here for three years and $51 million, which was the organization’s most important accomplishment of the offseason, in my estimation.
