Daryl Morey’s plan to change the Sixers is at odds with the core he chose

If there's one thing you can't begrudge Daryl Morey for, it's for overindexing on sentiment. Save for his allegiance to a small group of stars, he has proven his willingness to amend, upgrade, swap out, or otherwise manipulate his rosters, constantly searching for better odds at winning a title. He has been decisive, though many would argue his roster churn reflects a blind spot on the value of continuity, not to mention intangibles.
And this is hardly the time to cry foul if and when the Sixers reshape the roster this offseason. The 2024-25 Sixers are one of the biggest disappointments in recent basketball history, viewed as a safe bet for 50 wins while failing to reach half of that total....
