The Philadelphia Union suffered a Decision Day defeat on Saturday night in Foxborough, but will have a chance to exact revenge on the New England Revolution in the first round of the MLS Cup Playoffs.

Jim Curtin’s side suffered a 2-1 road loss to the Revs at Gillette Stadium on Saturday, dropping them into the No. 4 seed in the Eastern Conference. The result pairs the Union and Revolution up against one another for the Best-Of-3 series in Round One.

Julian Carranza broke the deadlock for the Union in the 16th minute, but a brace from Gustavo Bou would lead the way for the Revs. Bou’s penalty-kick equalizer came in the 25th minute before the Argentine propelled the Revs in front for good in the 41st minute.

A top-four finish in the Eastern Conference gives the Union hosting rights for the first and third leg of the Round One Best-of-3 series. The third leg is only played if necessary.

The Union totaled 55 points during the 34-match regular season, registering a 15-9-10 record. They won 10 of their 17 home matches at Subaru Park this season, continuing to make the venue a fortress in MLS.

Philadelphia defeated New England 3-0 in its only other head-to-head matchup this season, prior to a Decision Day defeat.

The Union-Revs schedule is as follows:

Match No. 1 – Saturday, October 28 – 5 p.m. ET (Subaru Park)
Match No. 2 – Wednesday, November 8 – 7 p.m. ET (Gillette Stadium)
Match No. 3 – Sunday, November 13 – 3 p.m. ET (Subaru Park, if necessary)
