About 90 minutes before C.J. Gardner-Johnson strutted into the winning locker room gloating that “this shit runs through us” or teammates sang DeVonta Smith happy birthday as part of a victory celebration or Jordan Mailata smiled through exhaustion while pulling compression sleeves over his legs long after a critical 26-18 win over Washington, the Eagles gathered in that same space under different circumstances.
