The Eagles ensured one of their best players will remain in Philadelphia long-term by exercising DeVonta Smith’s fifth-year option and agreeing to a three-year contract extension through 2028. The three-year, $75-million deal is added to the final two years of Smith’s rookie contract, making this a five-year pact with the club.
