The Eagles drafted eight players on Day 3 of the NFL Draft, which was their most volume on the final day of the draft since 2011. Howie Roseman’s message to his scouts was that the Eagles could find backup players on the open market — the goal in the draft is to gamble on players with starter upside. They won’t all hit, of course — and most won’t — but that was the mission on the final day.
