1. Nakobe Dean is doubtful for Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys, which means the Eagles will likely play without their starting linebacker combination for the first time this season. Dean has an abdomen injury. He was limited at practice on Thursday and Friday.
Zack Baun is expected to wear the green dot as the defensive signal-caller. He filled that role when Dean was sidelined last week and wore the green dot in practice this week. When Baun was asked why he was wearing the green dot, he suggested the Eagles might play more dime defense. That was gamesmanship for the possibility that Dean would miss this game.
