Elite piece here by Bo. Top 2 choices for me would be Evero and Nielson, by far. Two guys doing the most with the absolute least. They must hire someone that has recent defensive playcaller experience.

Rivera was last a DC in 2010 (and was amazing, I know), but he hasn’t been a playcaller in this generation of offensive football. Too risky and doesn’t fit the mold of a “steady hand DC” for me, despite his age, personality, etc. Would hate Schumann. Massive talent edge and it would be impossible for one to look bad while coaching a Kirby Smart-recruited (and co-schemed0 defense. Came up in the UGA tree and has no outside experience working with lesser talent.

I guess Leslie Frazier would be my third choice, while Wink Martindale would be my fourth choice, but I agree with Bo’s earlier comments about how he just isn’t what they need. Hewitt is interesting, but I would like to know why his trajectory has stagnated.

Leslie Frazier seems to be the best option. Hopefully the eagles dont screw around and get this done.

One of the reasons I followed Bo and ZB is because of work like this. Love it! To me, Wilson or Frazier is the answer. We will be at a talent deficit we need a chicken salad maker.

Looks like we already lost out on Nielsen. Shame, he would have been one of my top choices. I think Evero does impressive work turning you-know-what into chicken salad. Would be interested in him or one of the college guys over a re-tread.
