I suggest we cut Davis and DE Smuth to see if they will pass waivers and put on practice squad .

I guess it’s what fans do, but to me it’s weird to obsess over who deserves blame for a debacle of a game. The close score and the fact that they should’ve won if they’d been smarter/tighter obscures that a home game against a mediocre opponent should never have come down to an INT or a dropped pass or a game-winning drive in the first place. Anybody watch the Falcons vs. Pittsburgh last week? This is not a good team, and they just went toe to toe with us. The logical conclusion is that the Eagles are not a good team.
The blame belongs literally everywhere. Barkley was probably the best Eagle on the field, but he dropped the crucial pass. The D line is as of right now literally the worst in football. The rest of the D can’t cover anybody and collectively they’ve been absolutely gashed against the run. The coaching staff is making the wrong decisions everywhere they turn, from play calling to player motivation to in-game decisions.
Hurts — I guess you can defend him if you want and he rediscovered his running ability, which is nice. But he passed for under 200 yards and led his team to 7 first half points. We scored four more points against this team *at home* than Pittsburgh — with the mighty Justin Fields — scored against them on the road. If that’s the bar, well… we’re in for a pretty garbage season. Which I think is evident now.
My prediction is that they get absolutely destroyed by the Saints, then repeat last season’s playoff debacle vs. Tampa, and then they fire Sirianni before the bye to have more time for Moore or whoever to take the reins. Hurts is just Carson Wentz with more Sphinx-like press conferences. Gonna be time for yet another reset soon.

Correction — three more points than Pitt. If it had been 4, we would have had a tie game.
