Carlos and Trott were great together. Carlos was the unsung star of that defense. I can still remember when he got injured against the Giants. That was a darn shame.

I’d imagine paying Baun top LB money was not in Howie’s plans before the season started. Roughly half (?!?!) of our defense are on rookie deals and some tough decisions are going to have to be made soon. I really hope Birds can find a way to keep Baun and Philly does get some special consideration to strike a fair deal for both sides, though no hard feelings if he gets a mega-deal somewhere else.
It’s nearly unprecedented what he’s doing right now– to switch positions and instantly become the top-2 at a position in the NFL. If the Eagles have deep playoff success it’ll be because the defense is getting paid peanuts while getting elite production. Fingers crossed!!
