I listened to Vic Fangio and a few Eagles defensive players Wednesday evening looking for – I don’t know. Fire and brimstone, maybe? Rally-round-the-flag talk? “We’re much better than this and we won’t rest until we prove it?”
Didn’t quite hear those things.
Cooper DeJean might have come closest.
“We’ve got a great group of guys who aren’t going to back down from any challenge,” DeJean said, even though most of us believe we just saw them back down from a challenge in Monday night’s 38-21 home loss to Dallas. “We talked about this today. This is the hole we dug ourselves. We’ve got to get ourselves out of it. No one’s coming to help us.”
