Obviously not going to rip Howie after the past few years of drafting, but per Zach’s summary in paragraph #5 and Howie’s word-salad explanation of what happened in round 3 in paragraph #4, yesterday was not a banner day. Don’t understand how another 5th rounder next year was worth missing out on what seems like a worthwhile prospect in Grant, unless they decided after his visit they didn’t actually like him. Feels like their key rivals have gotten a lot better this off-season and the Birds have regressed some.

I wonder what the plan is now for Tight End. Nobody was drafted at that spot, so is Goedart about to get a contract extension?? Should be interesting to see what Howie does at TE.
