Bowen: Why can’t the Eagles get their offense in gear? Don’t ask Kevin Patullo.

Hmmmm…What has changed since last season? 1) Tyler Steen at RG and 2) Kevin Patullo as OC. Pretty easy to see where the Eagles offensive problems lie, because Steen is certainly not that bad.

How about we just let Hurts call the plays?…the best offense they’ve shown all season is in the hurry-up/no- huddle. Literally, there is no possible way it could be worse if you had Jalen calling the plays.

I’m watched the Texas/Georgia and the Oklahoma/Alabama games on Saturday. Not a huge college football fan, but pretty decent. I look at these teams as having future Eagles. I saw something I hadn’t seen from the Eagles since last year: pre-snap movement. Defenses were rushing to adjust and keep track of who was where and who was defending who—it created opportunities.

That Patullo is making a conscious regression and seems incapable of adapting…it’s mind-boggling. We went through this two years ago and for all the money, research, experts, and resources available to the Eagles, they could not avoid (or correct) falling into a scenario that most of us can plainly see.

Why not be happy with the wins? With the talent on this team, they should be blowing out some opponents rather than getting all Matrix-y and barely dodging some bullets. Can’t luck out forever.

“My question there would be, how often are you ever “on track?”

Did you actually ask this question at the press conference, or do these tough questions only come up during an article?

Les doesn’t have access to these press conferences.

Guad, i prefaced that part of the column by saying “if I were one of Patullo’s inquisitors.” I’m not. The Eagles only grant a few credentials to PHLY, and those go to full time reporters like EJ and Bo.

Kevein Patullo has the “political answers” down pat. Get asked a direct question and uses 75 words that gives you no answer.

It’s kind of like his play calling. Down and distance didctate something and he can’t answer the call.
Kevin Patullo is so far in over his head and his buddy Siranni doesn’t see it. Blind loyalty is going to cost him and lets hope its not a postseason game that it happens.

My biggest fear is this becoming a wasted year where the defense is worthy of a SB, but the offense lets them down.

The should promote the QB coach to OC before it gets too late. Nick cant risk being on the hot seat. He’s a great head coach but being loyal to your friends instead of the team is what got Doug kicked out of town. KP isnt the guy and he never should have been considered. He wouldnt have gotten an OC job with any other team. The QB coach was a great play caller at the college level, something KP never did
