Fran, love your work. While I certainly agree that there were plays to be made by Jalen in the passing game I keep coming back to the same thought over and over again. They aren’t playing like a well coached team.

Far too many precedural penalties, guys jogging routes, bad scramble drills, multiple receivers within a few yards of each other, etc. One of the selling points of staying in house should have been the OC knows Jalen and the rest of the personnel and can maximize the talent of this roster. I haven’t seen any real evidence that this staff is maximizing the talent.

Thanks for the detailed breakdown, Fran. Hopefully the team will work on addressing the issues that you mentioned so that they can maximize their talent and establish an offensive identity, whether it be pass-heavy, run-heavy (unlikely due to the banged-up offensive line), or balanced.
