Howie: do it.
Zach: I like it. Thanks.

I like the approach to dealing with Jordan Davis. This draft should be all about the lines in the first three or four rounds. Edge rusher, defensive tackle, offensive tackle, offensive guard. Load them up and re-sign Baun.

JD would be a perfect piece in a trade for Garrett

Zb, you still can’t let go of this kyle pitts thing? At least its on brand! Injuries in 22 and 23 have sapped him of his draft athleticism, he doesn’t block well at all which the eagles essentially demand from their TE’s, he cant fight through contact off the line or at the catch point. He has tape from last year giving up on a bunch of plays. What do you see in him for this version of the eagles?

Agree 100%. Zach has some good thoughts in this article, don’t think going aggressively after Pitts is one of them. Getting a Tremble-type on the cheap is good.

ZB – I agree about Baun, but another factor is how underpaid he was last year. I remember Foles getting an unnecessary extension to get him some money. I would think of Baun’s next contract as that in part

Great work, ZB! Agree on most of these for sure. Zack Baun is key for me – he makes everything else go.
I don’t get the Kyle Pitts love at all however. Hopefully Howie misses that paragraph when he reads this.

Good article, but I would like the status of players you should as possible signings. Specifically if they are on expiring contacts, released from their teams or still on rosters for trades. I refer specifically to Azeez OjulAri, Tommy Tremble and Baron Browning.

Really enjoyed this. One thing is that it seems like someone being from the area is factored in as an inherent positive, but, in my opinion, where they’re from should not factor into the equation at all. I agree with Dan above; I don’t believe in Kyle Pitts ever reaching the potential analysts thought he had coming out. I would try to keep Goedert and hope you can survive him missing a bunch of games every year with the other talent on the offense.

It would be exciting if they could decline Davis’ option and re-sign him to a team-friendly extension, but I don’t know if he would go for that. Could his two postseason sacks mean a pass rushing breakout is coming?

Whether it’s Howie’s roadmap or not, it’s a heckuva roadmap! Will be great to take a look at how much of this happens. The Slay Jr piece already happened today!

Id trade a 5th, max for Pitts. 3rd is too much for a player who hasn’t done anything. Otherwise, Zach! Zach! Zach!

Oh please, no more third round picks in the middle of the season. Golden Tate, Jahan Dotson,… Gee, even mid-season pickups have been bad. The last important one was Jay Ajayi in 2017. Hmmm, won a Super Bowl with that one. So, keep on swinging?
