I am happy and incredulous watching Barkley, who I have followed since his Penn State days. I was disappointed when the Giants drafted him, holding the unreasonable hope that he would fall to the Eagles.
Teams cannot concentrate on him the way they did when he was with the Giants, but they will have to now, which hopefully will mean more play action, more passes to our elite receivers, less wear and tear on the teams #1 offensive asset.

I had expected good things from Barkley this season behind a strong offensive line, but he has by far exceeded my expectations. Several times this season, I’ve watched one of his great runs and said “that is just ridiculous!”, and that continued during the second half last night. He seemed to be on the verge of a long run a few times in the first half, but to have that first TD run where he made that amazing cut to break the game open and the second one to put the dagger in the Rams was unbelievable and such a joy to watch. Not only is he playing great, he’s also selfless and his teammates love him. Looking forward to seeing what he does down the stretch and in the playoffs.

Barkley reminds me of when the Cowboys had Emmitt Smith close out games in the 4th quarter. Everyone knew he was getting the ball but still couldn’t stop him.
