You encapsulated what us older fans lived through. I am a 68 year old Eagles fan whose memory goes further back then even yours. My recollection of those miserable years goes all the way back to 1968. The late 60’s to mid 70’s was abysmal as you waited for each Sundays guaranteed butt whipping. The 20 and 30 something fans have no idea what it was like. They have been spoiled but misery comes in everyone’s life when you are a Philadelphia sports fan, right?
This, in my opinion should result in a full scale housecleaning starting with the ENTIRE coaching staff. I trust Howie will get this thing turned around but this time it won’t be a fast turn around. This one will take a few seasons. So many big decisions this time around.
