    The Philadelphia Flyers are in a tight playoff race, with the Washington Capitals just two points behind and the Detroit Red Wings only three back.

    And now, there are legitimate questions surrounding the team's goaltending situation.

    Starter Sam Ersson's position is secure. The Flyers will be riding Ersson -- for better or worse -- as their go-to goalie over the final ten games of the season, and they'll go as far as he can take them.

    But the plan was always to spell Ersson from time to time with a backup. After Felix Sandström's last two games, however, that's become a worrying proposition -- especially given the stakes of each game and the closeness of the playoff race.
