Family, legacy drive Joel Embiid as Team USA begins gold medal quest

LAS VEGAS -- Team USA will begin its trek toward a hopeful gold medal in the 2024 Olympic Games tonight when they take on Canada in an exhibition game in Las Vegas, the first of five warmup games before the Olympic Games begin in earnest in a little over two weeks.
One of the headliners of that team will be Joel Embiid, the 2023 NBA MVP and seven time All-Star who is making his Team USA, and FIBA, debut.
