The “do something” argument misses one salient detail: They will have more flexibility to execute a trade next year, when they have more cap space AND more assets to trade (not to mention another year to see how the current roster develops).
The fact that they don’t execute a big trade right now doesn’t mean that they aren’t going to or that the rebuild has gone off the rails.
