10 observations: Flyers end five-game skid and prevent winless homestand, take down Lightning in shootout

PHILADELPHIA -- The Philadelphia Flyers may not make the playoffs. But they will not suffer the indignity of a winless seven-game homestand on the road to that increasingly inevitable outcome.
Bobby Brink led the way with two goals and an assist, as the Flyers took down the Tampa Bay Lightning on Thursday night to end their five-game losing streak by a 4-3 final score. Matvei Michkov and Owen Tippett's shootout goals locked down the win, as did Sam Ersson's final big save on Oliver Bjorkstrand.
Ersson finished with 17 saves on 20 shots for his first win since way back on February 25, while Jonas Johansson (26 saves) took the loss for the Lightning.
