PHILADELPHIA -- Compared to their work last week, the Philadelphia Flyers are making progress. It just still hasn't been nearly enough to truly pull them out of their tailspin.
For the first time in a week, the Flyers scored more than one goal in a game, fueled by tallies from Jamie Drysdale and Rodrigo Abols. But the Ottawa Senators managed five goals of their own, cruising to a 5-2 victory as they continued their own pursuit of an Eastern Conference wild card spot. Claude Giroux had one assist in his return to his old home arena, while Anton Forsberg made 20 saves to earn the win.
