SUNRISE -- The Philadelphia Flyers may have lost to the Florida Panthers on Saturday night. But they can return home with their heads held high.
Garnet Hathaway's game-tying goal with 10 minutes left ensured that overtime would be necessary to decide whether the Flyers would take down the defending champions on their home ice, and after a frenetic extra session, a shootout was warranted as well. Owen Tippett was able to beat Florida goalie Sergei Bobrovsky in the skills competition, but Evan Rodrigues and Aleksander Barkov lit the lamp for the Panthers on the other side, pushing Florida to a 4-3 win.
